Thanksgiving 5K for Martha's Village & Kitchen

The Franklin team spent part of their Thanksgiving morning at the Fortem Financial Thanksgiving Day 5K benefitting Martha's Village and Kitchen on El Paseo in Palm Desert California. Franklin is grateful for a team that supports a local charity that helps the less fortunate. Way to go guys!

2016 State of the Mortgage Industry at the Agua Caliente Resort

FRANKLIN LOAN CENTER HOLDS ANNUAL STATE OF THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY EVENT

MAY 18th, 2016 - Franklin Loan Center held its popular State of the Mortgage Industry event at the Agua Caliente Resort this week, and proved to be popular with the agent community. Over 250 area real estate agents were in attendance from various companies in the desert and the event was well received by those who joined us.  Franklin started off the event with a video poking a little fun at the mortgage industr. Walter Neil, President and CEO of Franklin, took the stage to deliver this year's address.

Walter gave an informative and targeted presentation to the agents on the current state of the industry, loan programs, and typical scenarios agents often find themselves in with borrowers. The topics ranged from current programs, credit, and regulations to future trends in rates and the market.

Franklin holds their annual event in order to update and inform the agent community of the changes in the mortgage industry and lending programs and information agents can use in their practice. Knowledge of how their clients will engage with a lender’s programs and the details they need when purchasing a home makes the agent a valuable resource during the borrowing process as an advocate for the purchaser.

“While we’d love you to use Franklin, these are the questions you should ask any lender assisting your buyer,” Walter Neil said during the presentation, “any good mortgage banker should be able to answer your questions directly”. While Franklin was the host of the event, the information covered the entire mortgage industry, regardless of which company an agent might be using. The goal was to give them the tools and information they need when dealing with lenders.

After the presentation, Franklin held an ASK THE EXPERTS panel to answer questions in underwriting, loan scenarios, compliance and topics covered in the main presentation. Agents filled out question sheets or tweeted live to #SOTMI16 to pose questions to the panel and covered a wide variety of topics agents had on the industry.

The State of the Mortgage Industry 2016 event was a success and part of Franklin Loan Center’s goal of being a leader in the mortgage and real estate community and sharing expertise to help the entire industry be successful in the coming year. Thank you to all the industry professionals who attended and made the event a success.
